The AERL is delighted to invite you to a Keynote Speech by Andrew Mitchell, Director General for Exports and UK Trade at the Department for International Trade, who has kindly agreed to give Members an overview of the new UK Export Strategy “Made in the UK, Sold to the World”. The ambitious 12-point export strategy aims to help businesses across the UK to unlock their exporting potential in order to level up the country and boost the UK’s economy. The speech will be followed by a Q&A. This event is kindly hosted by Richard Burge, Chief Executive at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).

Andrew Mitchell CMG is Director General for Exports and UK Trade at the Department for International Trade. In his role, he is responsible for the Department’s work on Exports, UK regions and the Devolved Administrations. Previously Her Majesty’s Trade Commissioner for Europe, Andrew worked to promote the UK’s trade and investment interests with Europe. He has also held senior positions within the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office and is the former Ambassador to Sweden.
