We are delighted to invite Members to the AERL Christmas Reception with guest of honour and keynote speaker The Rt Hon Greg Hands MP, Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade, who has kindly agreed to give Members an update on the UK government’s market access strategy, free trade agreements and trade policy post-Brexit. This event presents a unique opportunity to engage with an experienced Minister for Trade of the newly formed UK government. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and conclude with a networking reception.
Greg Hands was appointed Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade on 9 October 2022. He was previously a Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy between 16 September 2021 and 7 September 2022. He was also Minister of State for Trade Policy at the Department for International Trade (DIT) from 13 February 2020 to 15 September 2021 and Minister of State at the Department for International Trade from 2016 to 2018. He was elected the Conservative MP for Hammersmith and Fulham in 2005, and for Chelsea and Fulham in 2010.
