The gold price has continued to set multiple new record highs during 2025 in US dollar terms, which has been fuelled by US tariff hikes, geopolitical uncertainty, stock market volatility and US dollar weakness. The AERL is delighted to invite you to a presentation by Ms Kurtulus Taskale Diamondopoulos, Director, Central Banks and Public Policy at the World Gold Council and her colleague, Mr John Mulligan, Head of Sustainability Strategy. The presentations will cover trends in central bank gold holdings, the wider implications for the gold market and ESG in responsible gold mining. This event is kindly hosted by The Ambassador of Türkiye to the United Kingdom, HE Mr Osman Koray Ertas.

The World Gold Council is a membership organisation that champions the role gold plays as a strategic asset, shaping the future of a responsible and accessible gold supply chain. The World Gold Council drives industry progress, shaping policy and setting the principles for a perpetual and sustainable gold market. Formed in 1987 by some of the world’s most forward-thinking mining companies, it currently has 32 Members who are headquartered across the world and have mining operations in over 45 countries.
